I hooked it up, opened Windows Media Player, and it showed I was connected. This is probably because I have the play for sure firmware (2.10.3) installed on the Xtra. Thanks again! The only problem I have now is that I cannot sync with creative source media player. However Creaive Media PLayer still insisted there was no Creative device installed even though Vista was seeing it.
